In response to continuing complaints, the Detroit Police Department is again authorized to write tickets – not just warnings – for “trash” violations. Tickets carry a $150 fine.
The high-level standards for our neighborhood are:
- No containers, bulk, yard waste, or other out before 6:00 PM on Wednesday (pick up day is Thursday)
- All containers should be returned to their out of sight, off street locations by 9:00 PM on Thursday
